Pedalboard

(In order of signal chain)

1) T1M Buffer: I get the most questions about this. Running long cables degrades your signal and results in loss of overall volume. Since this is harmful to your tone, buffers offer a slight volume boost (as well as an increase in overall clarity from your instrument).

2) Ernie Ball Volume Pedal Jr. (T1M Mod): It turns my volume up and down. I'd recommend going with something that won't break all the time, though. The mod on this prevents any signal loss when using the "tuner out" on the pedal.

3)TC Electronic Polytune Mini: It's a mighty fine tuner.

4) Electro Harmonix Mircro Pog: I love this guy. It's simple to use, but very effective. Ha. It hads either an octave above or below (or both) while letting you control the volume of the octave you are in. Sometimes I run stereo out of the "dry out" for some weird sounds.

5) CMatmods Butah Overdrive: If something ever happened to my Butah, I would probably have a meltdown. I've had this thing for several years and it has appeared on everything I've ever recorded. Its warm, versitile, and I love it. Check out Chad's shop, he's a great dude.

6) T1M The Pearl: I'm a fan of This 1's Myne pedals. The Pearl is a super versatile dual overdrive. Both sides sound killer, plus the whole thing is made by a great dude.

7) Strymon El Capistan V2: The El Cap is my favorite delay. Period. I often use it alone for most of my sets. The little switch above it is a favorite switch that can be used to store one preset. I leave my El Cap on a dark, heavily modulated light delay while the favorite option keeps a huge, long delay for sweels and such.

8) Strymon Timeline: It's a Timeline. I keep dozens of songs stored in it for delay purposes. It's probably the best delay ever. That's about it. I  run stereo from here on out.

9) Boss RV-5: Don't let the Boss hate fool you, their reverbs are killer. I leave this on the "modulate" setting at all times and only occaisionally tweak the effect knob depending on the parts I'm playing.

10) T1M Mono/Stereo Killswitch: Since I run my board in stereo, but can't always play with two amps, my pal Dan from This 1's Myne (making his fifth appearance on my board) built this little guy. If I only have one cable plugged in to the out, my signal is summed to one mono mix. If I have two plugged it, it stays in parallel for the stereo amps. This thing is also a killswitch for when I just totally screw up or want to kill my whole signal really quickly.

Guitar

A handful of people have told me that it freaks them out to see me play any other guitar. This has been my main workhorse for years (often being the only guitar I play for long stretches of time), and she shows no signs of slowing down. It's a Mexican made Fender Telecaster that's been upgraded with Lollar pickups ('52 Special in the bridge, Vintage in the neck), Emerson Custom wiring, copper sheilding, and a vintage telecaster three-saddle bridge.

Amplifier

The amp that I typically use is my 1994 Vox AC30. It's one of the 6tb's that were still made in Brittain before Vox was sold again. After trying tons of amps, I can confidently say that vintage Vox amps are my prefered sound, but I wish no ill will towards my Jackson and Matchless friends. It has the best high end that I've ever heard, but it still has that vintage tube amp warmth. Plus, we're the same age.
